Beauty

In his book "Acts of Faith", Eboo Patel says that “[one] understanding of Islam can be summed up in the famous saying of the Prophet Muhammad: ‘God is beautiful and loves beauty.’”

With that thought in mind, I hope you enjoy the following poem I wrote.

In Plain Sight

It’s hiding right under your nose,
in plain sight,
all around you,
deep within you,
in ways you could never know,
secret places that others may reveal,
you can touch, taste, smell and hear it,
take a long luscious lick,
bite off more than you could chew,
let it overwhelm and welcome you,
yes, let it welcome you,
Beauty.
